Back to School: Addressing the Mental Load, a two part workshop for parents
As school starts up again, the stress of running a household can become difficult to manage. The mental load/labor refers the invisible work that usually is done by only one member of the family.
The stress of carrying the mental load can lead to burnout, strained relationships, and even chronic health problems. The first step is often recognizing the cycle and the invisible work that is being done.
In part one of this two-part parent workshop, we will discuss the mental load and be able to identify it in our daily lives. We will also discuss how to reduce the mental load and work on a self care project and plan.
